Join a professional Dauphin Island Sea Lab Educator for a two-hour boat trip in the waters surrounding Dauphin Island, where you’ll learn how estuaries such as Mobile Bay feed the seas. A short trawl will produce a sampling of some of these animals for you to examine, and a plankton tow will give you a look at the microscopic organisms at the base of the food chain. Other kinds of wildlife, including pelicans, gulls, and dolphins, can often be seen from the boat. Please note that your reservation will not be secure until you purchase your tickets. When you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation with instructions.

Step 3:Input the code from your email response and purchase tickets
Step 4: Print the notarized boat form found here and get it stamped by a notary (if you cannot acess a notary please email excursions@disl.edu
Step 5: Read all pre-trip information and prepare for your trip!
Note:
The minimum age for participation is 8. Children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their supervision and safety.

DISL reserves the right to cancel in case of inclement weather or if there is insufficient participation
Purchasing this ticket will get you a code that will give you 2.00 off an Aquarium visit!

Pre-trip information
Arriving: You will sign in at the front desk of the aquarium
What to wear:
Proper footwear is required for your safety. You must wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Please note that you will not be allowed to board the vessel without proper footwear. Layers are advised for variable weather conditions.
What to bring:
A hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and binoculars if you're a birder, and your notarized forms
What to keep in mind:
We will walk from the aquarium to the dock, which is a 3-minute walk. It can be a large step down to get on the boat, depending on the tide.
Cancellation policy: If you cancel with 48 hours' notice by emailing excursions@disl.edu, you will receive a refund. If DISL cancels the Excursion, you will be notified through the contact information you supplied in your registration, and you will receive a refund.
